Private Mathematics & Statistics Instructor
Hi, I'm Katherine
I run a private instruction practice focused entirely on one-on-one teaching in mathematics and statistics, working with high school and college students. Each session is structured and instructor-led, built around clear teaching, guided practice, and a complete curriculum I write myself.
I'm a statistician and mathematician by training, with an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno. That foundation lets me teach these subjects with real depth, rigor, and clarity, and AP coursework is where I focus most of my work.

Before the school year begins, I'm hosting free 45-minute webinars on how to do well in AP Statistics, AP Calculus (AB/BC), and AP Precalculus. Everyone who registers also receives my master cheat sheet for that course, free to keep whether or not you attend live.

A focused, individualized approach
This practice is my full focus. I take a limited number of students each academic year so that every session is well-prepared and individualized, and so each family receives consistent attention throughout the year. The strongest results come when we start at the beginning of the course, so spots are best reserved before the term begins. I'm based in Seattle, WA. Outside of work, you'll usually find me baking, tuning my espresso setup, collecting ceramics, or hanging out with my cat, Blue.
